The unleaded fuel based engine work mainly on generating electricity to the battery and certainly becomes the only power if the battery is running out. It means that the Volt can go on the engine as the only power or together with the electric motors. From the significant wight loss the all-new 2016 Chevy Volt is expected to come in faster acceleration and better stability. More interesting statement from Chevrolet is that the All-new Volt runs faster (0-60 mph / 8.4 seconds). It must return 41 mpg and 420 miles with full gas and charge.
Interior Design
The rear seat is extended from two seats to three-seat capacity. So it will have 5-seat passenger capacity for 2016 model year. In favor of appearing more slimmer, the rear headroom is unfortunately a bit narrowed. Careful overhaul, an inductive charging pad, adjustable deceleration and redesigned center stack will complete the new Volt's interior.

Let's take an example from its rivals in plug-in Hybrid segment, the Fusion Energy which came in less electric range and as we know it costs more than the current Chevy Volt. For less electric-only range is also offered by Toyota Prius which is about 15 miles, instead, it has more cargo room and larger rear seats. Another one with low electric range is Honda Accord which appears more attractive of its interior designs and preferable features. For a new arrival may belong to BMW that offers a higher price tag. Price and Release Date
Despite the company has not given any further information regarding the estimated price and the exact release date, but we know that the significant cost saving should decrease the previous price of the today's Volt. What a bliss to hear that the 2016 Chevrolet Volt will cost more affordable, isn't it?
