Car Junkie -
2016 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel Engine MPG. Last year Chevrolet had launched its second-generation Colorado to keep on track among its class of mid-size pickup. Chevy Colorado has given a significant resistance to the best-selling Toyota Tacoma that is ready to debut in a fresh design and enhancement. Although Chevrolet has not confirmed any specific changes neither on the engine nor packaging, but GM has delivered a cue that 2016 Chevy Colorado is likely to bring a 2.8L Duramax turbo diesel over XLD28 model.

Aside from engine renewal in favor of boosting performance and reliability, some slight refinements may occur around the body style to find a more exciting look. Notice that the XLD28 diesel has been manufactured to power the international-market Colorado started in 2 years ago (2012). This version of diesel engine was built in Thailand and generated 200hp with 360lb-ft of torque for 6-speed automatic transmission.
Chevrolet will probably update the transmission into GM new 8-speed automatic and offer more trim levels. You might remember when the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado debuted at the time, its great LTZ trim level filling up everyone's needs on a private pickup. And that's one of what we all want Chevrolet to include as the range-topping level. Why we should have such expectation is simply because the current top trim level (Z71) hasn't reached the satisfaction for an off-road adventure. The Z71 trim level, however, seems alright to re-include as another selection.

The GM's new 8-speed automatic transmission is probably offered for the third-generation Colorado. Any changes simply means to improve and upgrade. Being more capable in all terrain, increased fuel economy and still provides a range of affordable costs are all we need!
